Authentic Supply
Product identity and requested make reviewed against the exact sourcing requirement.
MF membranes separate at 0.1 to 10 micrometres, removing suspended solids, turbidity, most bacteria and protozoan cysts at operating pressures of 0.1 to 2 bar. They pass dissolved salts, dissolved organics and viruses, and are used to protect finer stages downstream.

Microfiltration is the coarsest of the membrane processes and the cheapest to run, since transmembrane pressure is low. Its role is almost always protective: taking the solids load off a stream before it reaches a UF, NF or RO stage that would foul on it.
Where the requirement is genuinely only solids and turbidity, MF can be the complete answer. Where the requirement mentions colloids, SDI or viruses, ultrafiltration is the correct process instead.
| Parameter | Typical value or range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pore size | 0.1–10 µm | Coarsest of the membrane processes |
| Operating pressure | 0.1–2 bar | Low energy compared with UF and RO |
| Removes | Suspended solids, turbidity, most bacteria and cysts | Physical barrier |
| Does not remove | Dissolved salts, dissolved organics, viruses | UF is the step up for viruses and colloids |
| Module format | Hollow fibre, tubular, cartridge | Format chosen from solids load |
| Backwashable | Generally yes | Interval set by feed solids |
| Typical duty | Pre-treatment and clarification | Rarely the final barrier |
Typical ranges across the module class. Final values follow the datasheet of the module quoted.
MF removes what you can see. SDI is driven by fine colloidal material well below the MF pore rating, so a stream can pass through microfiltration, come out visually clear, and still carry an SDI₁₅ above the limit an RO element specifies.
If the reason for the barrier is RO protection and the measured problem is SDI, ultrafiltration is the correct specification. MF ahead of UF is sensible where solids would otherwise shorten UF backwash intervals.
Water treatment does not have a list price, and any supplier quoting one before seeing a feed analysis is quoting a different plant from the one you need.
On request, and capacity-dependent. Plant pricing moves with capacity, feed water analysis and the recovery target; membranes, cartridges and resins are quoted per element, per lot or per litre of media.
From a single replacement element or a case of cartridges through to full plant scope. Consumable lines are quoted per box or per lot, and the lot size is stated on the quotation.
Confirmed per line item at quotation stage. Stocked consumable lines and made-to-order plant differ substantially, so a single blanket lead time for the category would be misleading — the quotation carries the figure for each line.
GST invoice against company or institutional purchase order. Proforma issued where advance payment or internal approval requires it.
Despatch from Delhi NCR across India, including plant, project and institutional sites. Delivery city and site access are asked for at enquiry because both affect despatch mode.
Technical datasheet for the item quoted, and a test certificate where the principal supplies one with that product. Tender and institutional documentation formats are prepared on request — send the format with the enquiry so the quotation is issued in a form you can submit without rework.
Fields marked with an asterisk are required. The technical fields are what usually decide whether you get a quotation on the first pass or three emails of clarification.
Pore size and therefore what is retained. MF works at 0.1 to 10 micrometres and removes suspended solids, turbidity and most bacteria. UF works at 0.01 to 0.1 micrometres and additionally removes colloids, most viruses and macromolecules.
For RO pre-treatment the distinction matters, because colloidal material is what drives SDI and MF largely passes it.
Most bacteria, yes, since they are generally larger than the pore rating. Protozoan cysts are removed reliably.
Viruses are not removed reliably at MF ratings — they are smaller than the pores. Where virus removal matters, ultrafiltration is the process.
They overlap in rating but not in construction or duty. A membrane cartridge at 0.22 or 0.45 micrometres is a microfiltration-rated device, usually a disposable final filter.
An MF module in a treatment train is generally a backwashable, continuously operated barrier rather than a disposable element. Which you need depends on whether the solids load justifies backwashing.
